These might be the worst custom toys I have ever seen. Like a Scary Movie-esque parody...

If you click the link to his store, it shows that a good number of them are already sold out! That's some easy money right there.

This guy is like a indy toy industry's PT Barnum... Or maybe it's like The Emperor's New Clothes, where nobody wants to admit that they don't get it?

(There's nothing to get. You're paying top-dollar for schtick.)

I've never been too big a fan of his work. I give him props for bringing the indie toy scene to the spotlight, but most of his stuff seems kinda lazy to me.

I need to glue old household items to toys. Maybe I can make more money to buy good customs that way...

How much contempt must a person have for their fans to produce absolute garbage like this.

I don't get it.

Like at all.

And I'm not bashing Sucklord, I mean I'm not really into this scene at all so I have no idea who this guy is. Just it seems so random, and nothing looks playable. Like, they all look very fragile.

When Eric explained kitbash in got me in another post, I thought it was using parts from other toys and casting them up in a mold and genuinely creating a new figure from them. Like out of rubber or resin or whatever. I didn't realize the term also applied to this sort of thing too... It really is just cutting and glueing... Frankensteining anything that will go together? Just the whole phenomena strikes me as a waste of toys lol...

I kind of get why people would be into the SUCKLE figures or even his Gay Empire stuff for the kitsch factor, even though it's not my thing. But to drop that kind of money on a couple of existing action figures just stuck together in a different way with nothing else done to them is puzzling. You could get most of those figures for dirt cheap and put them together in the same way yourself with minimal effort. It's not like Picasso did it.

I like a lot of "art" toys and admire the creativity that goes into them, but I have noticed that the whole art toy thing has attracted some bandwagon-jumpers and people who seem to buy and collect things simply because they think it's trendy, hip and will somehow make them a cooler, more popular person. Which is just, ugh.

Yeah the Suckle toys... I get it. At the end of the day he is creating a new figure. This stuff though, it looks like junk.

My favorite thing I saw him do was to wrap cheap toilet paper in pink tissue paper, slap an "asswipe" mylar sticker on that, and sell them for like $10 a pop as an exclusive. People were running around proudly displaying their $10 roll of crapper paper. The whole thing struck me pretty funny.

I heard that he shoves all this stuff into his rectum, and when he takes a dump, whichever pieces are stuck to one another in the same turd, those are what he glues together.

Which might explain why these all look like crap to me.

I laughed scrolling through just looking at the prices and how many are sold. Good for him. I think Sucklord is funny. Some of his pieces are funny. His prices are hilarious. His stuff isn't for me, but neither is buying a single loose MUSCLE for a similar price just because of color rarity. And yes, I'm probably just bitter that I will never own light blue Iwao.

It's genius.

Other indie toy people are tripping over one another trying to produce stuff that is more impressive and innovative than anything they've made before just to make enough pennies to keep trying while sucklord sits back and laughs at not only the people making toys but the people buying them as well. I think it's cool. He spent years marketing himself rather then his toys and it worked perfectly. He's not trying to trick anyone and market his stuff as great art or even high quality as far as materials go. He tells you what kind of crap you're getting and calls you an ass for buying it. He has to be one of the most honest toy makers out there.

I don't own any of his stuff but i appreciate what he's doing. I would have collected the suckle mini figures if i liked star wars or even any of the sculpts but i don't.

What a mark...

And Draz, for the most part, Star Wars DOES kind of suck.

It is a great joke, but an awful turd of a figure. Anyone who buys one has to be a complete moron...
